GreenStar Local Lover Giveaway!

Local First Ithaca has had a busy year! An Ithaca contingent descended
on the annual BALLE conference (Business Alliance for Local Living Economies)
in Charleston, SC. and came back full of energy and inspiration. We've spent
the last few months working behind the scenes to spread the message of a
sustainable, local economy and we're full of energy and ideas.
This holiday season, Local First Ithaca has partnered with
GreenStar Cooperative Market
and Ithaca HOURS to bring you the GreenStar Local Lover Giveaway!
Check out November's GreenLeaf for all the info and look for the beginning
of our annual Local Lover's Challenge to begin on Friday, November 26th.
While you're at it, have you seen the incredible video that GreenStar entered
in the National Cooperative Grocer's Assoc. My Coop Rocks contest?
Not only is it informative, it's fun with a capital "F" and full of familiar faces.

Logo Contest News Flash!

News Flash! Local First Ithaca has decided to extend our Logo Contest for another week, so the end date is April 7 at 11:59 pm.
In addition, due to general feedback in the community about the specifications for submissions restricting less tech savvy artists from entering, we are going to allow entries that are not in the "technical format" (ie: vector format, illustrator file, flatten artwork) that was originally specified. All other criteria will stay the same. We are hoping that this will make the contest be more inclusive of all artists in our community.
A big thanks to those who have already submitted their entries!
